BROKEN FOCUS

      BROKEN     FOCUS

                          Hebrews 12 v 1   ( N L T)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us

Focus is not about what you can visualize physically.

Focus is about what your inner self concentrates on and falls in love with. ...

But when your focus in life becomes broken, that means that your love for those things will shift.

(person, place, relationship, project, Academic, Business  Financial life and Spiritual things,  etc.)

When your love shifts for a thing, so does your passion, priority, and commitment.

WHAT BRINGS BROKEN FOCUS

The greatest cause of broken focus is the force of

1.Distraction.

2.Conpresency

3.Murmuring

4.Complaining

PEOPLE WHO HAD BROKEN FOCUS

Genesis

 11:6(NIV)

Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!

Hosea 4v 17(AMP)

Ephraim is joined to idols,

So let him alone [to suffer the consequences].

Genesis 49:3-4(NLT)

“Reuben, you are my firstborn, my strength,

the child of my vigorous youth.

You are first in rank and first in power.

But you are as unruly as a flood,

and you will be first no longer.

For you went to bed with my wife;

    you defiled my marriage couch.

1. Joseph’s brothers failed because of broken focus. They focused on the glory of another man’s coat and calling rather than the glory of their own coats and calling.

2.. Samson died because of broken focus. He focused on the beauty of Delilah rather than the beauty of the presence of the Lord

3. Eve sinned because of broken focus. She focused on the virtue of the fruit, not the virtue of the one who commanded her

CONSEQUENCE OF BROKEN FOCUS

James 1:8(NLT)

Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Matthew 27:3-5, (NLT)

3 When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the leading priests and the elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he declared, “for I have betrayed an innocent man.”

“What do we care?” they retorted. “That’s your problem.”

5 Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself.
