RENEWING OF MIND.

 WEDNESDAY  PRAYER MEETING(PIWC)

                       KEMPRING 58

                       (16/03/2022)

                 RENEWING OF  MIND.

What is renewal/ renewing?

Is the act of becoming new again.

Replacing the old way of thinking with a new way.

This word 'renewed' in Greek is ANANEOO which means to be renovated by an inward reformation

We renew our licence

We renew our permit

We renew our contract

In The IT WORLD

We update our computers

We update our phones

In The BANKING WORD

They update their SYSTEM

An example of renewal is a couple exchanging vows again after having been married for 50 years.

 (Philippians 4:8)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

(Acts 17:11)

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

 (Romans 12:2)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Renewing your mind means interpreting life through the lens of God’s Word and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, rather than through the lens of your experience, or the opinions of others. It’s making a daily, moment-by-moment choice to choose the Mind of Christ which lives inside of us as new creations rather than operating from our soulish mind the way we did before we were saved.

Why Does the Bible Emphasize the 'Renewing of the Mind'?

Unless Christian learns to renew their mind, they will continue to walk in defeat, struggle, and confusion, as they desire to experience a Spirit-led life yet.

Renewing our mind aligns our mind with the truth of God’s Word by learning to recognize the lies of the enemy, replace them with the truth of God’s Word and then reinforce that truth every time the enemy comes at them with those same lies.

Renewing our mind is not just a spiritual process, but a physiological one as well. When we intentionally change the way we think to align with God’s Word, it literally creates new connections and pathways in our brain to make that process easier and more preferred over time.
